CHERRY BOMBE 100:
Artist Julia Sherman unwittingly became the biggest cheerleader for leafy dishes, thanks to her blog turned bestselling cookbook, Salad For President. Born out of a creative rut, Julia’s website began with her own work-of-art salads then evolved into veg-packed recipes she makes alongside artists, musicians, writers, and other creative types. The cheeky name is about reevaluating the humble salad, elevating it from forgotten side dish to delightful main star. Julia has also brought her salad obsession to the big leagues since 2015, as creative director at fast casual chain Chop’t. Basically, she’s living the finest “salad days” fathomable.
