CHERRY BOMBE 100:
Restaurateur, writer, and activist Karen Leibowitz is co-founder of the award-winning, path-breaking restaurants The Perennial, Mission Chinese Food, and Commonwealth, and is Executive Director of the non-profit Perennial Farming Initiative. She co-wrote the Mission Street Food and Atelier Crenn cookbooks and her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Bon Appétit, and Food & Wine. Recently named to InStyle’s inaugural list of “50 Badass Women,” Karen lives in San Francisco, where she’s working to build a more regenerative and equitable food world. She recently teamed with Cherry Bombe and artist Kelli Anderson to create a PSA that uses the bold, clear urgency of the classic Heimlich maneuver poster to help restaurant employees identify, report, and stop sexual harassment in the workplace.
