The Write Stuff

Wine can be intimidating to casual drinkers, but, as Marissa A. Ross has proven, it doesn’t need to be. The comedy writer began using her humorous prose to talk vintners and vintages and started blogging about wine in 2012. Since then, the California-bred and -based writer has penned an approachable, often funny book about the topic, Wine. All The Time: The Casual Guide to Confident Drinking, and she serves as Bon Appétit’s wine editor. She’s also made the cut on Wine Enthusiast's 40 Under 40 list, has been dubbed the “go-to wine expert” for irreverent fashion site Man Repeller, and has gotten love for her personality-filled approach to wine from Food & Wine, Saveur, GQ, Elle, and Esquire. She’s on a mission to show that wine should be understandable and fun for everyone, no personal wine cellar or somm certification required.
