Episode 182: Take a Coffee Break with The Chocolate Barista
Michelle Johnson, aka The Chocolate Barista, wants to change the coffee world. She fell in love with the caffeinated beverage as a child, sneaking sips from her mom's mug of Maxwell House, and today, she is the leading voice for inclusion and diversity in the specialty coffee scene. Earlier this year, Michelle launched Black Coffee: A Dialogue on Race and Coffee Culture, a live podcast event that brings industry professionals together to share their stories and their knowledge.
Michelle, who recently returned to the states from a stint in Melbourne, joins host Kerry Diamond to talk about her early coffee obsession, latte art throw downs, and, of course, her activism.
Grab your brew of choice and settle in for some coffee talk.
