Sarah Weiner

Sarah Weiner is the executive director of the Good Food Foundation. She got her start at Slow Food International in Bra, Italy, where she penned the first edition of The Slow Food Companion. She eventually moved to Berkeley to serve as Alice Waters’ assistant, then left to open the Slow Food Nation office in the U.S. In 2010, Weiner co-founded Seedling Projects, a non-profit that was later reborn as the Good Food Foundation, which now encompasses the annual Good Food Awards, the 450-business-strong Good Food Guild, Good Food Mercantile, and Good Food Merchants Collaborative.
