Katy Rose Glickman

Katy Rose Glickman is a Brooklyn-based political strategist and passionate home cook. As an organizer and digital strategist she worked on both of President Obama’s, and most recently Vice President Biden’s, presidential campaigns. After losing her father in 2019, Katy Rose started the Instagram account @cookingthroughgrief which is dedicated to navigating the complexity of grief and loss through all things food.

Her love of cooking and bringing people together through food comes from her dad. Elevating comfort food for herself and others helped her feel more connected to him after he died. What began as a creative outlet to share her cooking and stories about her dad has grown into an active community of enthusiastic home cooks and grievers alike.

@cookingthroughgrief has created a supportive space to talk about all things food and feelings, and the particular joy that “daily sizzles” can bring.
