Shake It Up with Christine Wiseman at Jubilee!


Bar Lab Hospitality mixologist Christine Wiseman created two special custom cocktails for our conference. Get a sneak peek of the drinks below and be sure to stop by the Johnnie Walker booth and say hi to Christine on the 20th!

1½ ounces Johnnie Walker Black
¼ ounces Apricot Brandy
3 ounces yuzu soda
Thai basil, for garnish
Pour all ingredients into a Collins glass filled with ice. Garnish with the basil.

1½ ounces Johnnie Walker Black
1 ounce espresso
½ ounce Mr Black coffee liqueur
½ ounce pistachio honey
Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and serve up in a coupe glass.
For the Pistachio Honey:
175 grams toasted pistachios
3 quarts honey
1 quart water
Combine all ingredients in a stock pot and bring to a low simmer. Turn off the heart and let sit for 30 minutes. Strain the pistachios and transfer to a lidded container.

Christine Wiseman has served as Bar Lab Hospitality’s Beverage Director for nearly eight years, part of a career spanning 20 years in hospitality. A West Virginia native, Christine worked her way up the corporate restaurant ladder in her home state, eventually landing a bartending position at Virtue Feed & Grain in Alexandria, where she trained under craft cocktail innovator Todd Thrasher. In 2012, Christine relocated to Los Angeles to work at Chef Michael Voltaggio’s newly opened restaurant, Ink. At Ink, Wiseman honed her craft utilizing the fresh California ingredients and learning pioneering techniques, such as infusions of spirits and syrups. Christine went on to work at acclaimed LA bars & restaurants such as La Descarga, leading the innovative beverage program at Break Room 86, and finally joining Broken Shaker LA.  
Since joining the Bar Lab Hospitality team, Christine has been recognized as Tales of the Cocktail’s 2023 Bartender of the Year, 2023 North America’s Best Bartender by 50 Best Bars, and as an Imbibe 75 Person to Watch for 2023. Christine’s fun, colorful (and sometimes sparkly) cocktails typically walk the line with unexpected ingredients and tried-and-true, craveable flavor combinations. In March 2023, Christine’s cocktails appeared at Bar Lab Hospitality’s newest restaurant, Mesiba, a Tel Aviv-inspired restaurant, new cocktail destination Bar Bedford, high-energy sound room Jolene and LilliStar, a breathtaking indoor/outdoor rooftop bar all located at the new Moxy Williamsburg in Brooklyn.
