MENTOR/MENTEE DINNER SERIES
AT MISIPASTA IN BROOKLYN
We celebrated the grand finale of our Mentor/Mentee series at MISIPASTA, the Williamsburg boutique and aperitivo bar from our current cover star, Chef Missy Robbins! In partnership with Square, Ketel One, and S.Pellegrino, we’ve been traveling across the country to chat with local restaurateurs, chefs, and culinary creatives to explore what mentorship means to them.
We asked some of our favorite NYC folks to bring a mentee of theirs for an evening of delicious Italian food and inspiring conversation. Radio Cherry Bombe host Kerry Diamond moderated a panel with Chef Missy Robbins of Lilia, Misi, and MISIPASTA; Dianna Daoheung of Black Seed Bagels; and Ayesha Nurdjaja of Shukette and Shuka. The panelists shared the importance of patience, professionalism, and celebrating your wins, no matter how small.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed passed bites from MISIPASTA, including grilled artichoke sandwiches with provolone and hot peppers; whipped ricotta crostinis with hot honey and basil; and stracciatello gelato. We sipped Cosmos, Espresso Martinis, and tiny Dirty Tinis made with Ketel One Vodka. There were also N/A Negronis, plus sparkling water from S.Pellegrino and Sanpellegrino CIAO.
