The 2025 Cherry Bombe

LOREM

Presented By
Veuve Cliquot

Meet the 100+ women making the culinary world a more interesting, inspiring, and innovative place

We’re honored to spotlight these amazing leaders in culinary, hospitality, philanthropy, and beyond. Our CEO Kate Miller Spencer and I came up with the idea for the Power Issue last year when we thought we would finally have a woman in the White House. That moment didn’t arrive, but the entire Cherry Bombe team remains firm believers in the power of women to lead, create change, push boundaries, and build community, especially in the food and drink space. Celebrating these women is more important than ever. I hope you enjoy the stories ahead and take inspiration from these incredible individuals.

Power Honoree

Madame Clicquot

Before we unveil this year’s Power List, we honor a woman whose legacy helped shape the future of food and beverage: Madame Clicquot

Bold, brilliant, and ahead of her time, Madame Clicquot took over her family’s champagne house in 1805 after the death of her husband. She was just 27. In an era when women couldn’t open bank accounts or run businesses, she led with vision, determination, and a relentless drive to innovate.

She introduced the world’s first vintage champagne. She revolutionized winemaking with the riddling table. And she created the first known blended rosé champagne—moves that forever changed the world of bubbly.

Today, her legacy lives on in La Grande Dame 2018, the 25th vintage cuvée from Veuve Clicquot. Made with 90% Pinot Noir—her favorite grape—La Grande Dame is a tribute to her vision and audacity. With its balance, finesse, and sun-kissed brightness, it embodies the spirit of a woman who never looked back.

Raise a glass to Madame Clicquot—and to powerful women everywhere.

Nam Soon Ahn & Sarah Ahn

The mother-daughter duo behind the bestselling cookbook "Umma" and Ahnest Kitchen on Instagram

Sarah Ahn and Nam Soon Ahn are the mother-daughter duo behind Umma: A Korean Mom's Kitchen Wisdom and 100 Family Recipes, a New York Times bestseller that’s as much a tribute to family as it is a guide to Korean home cooking. What began as Sarah’s Instagram project, Ahnest Kitchen, to document and share her umma’s (mother’s) recipes, has blossomed into a beloved culinary platform.

Nam Soon Ahn, her mother, is a former restaurateur whose culinary wisdom forms the foundation of their cookbook and social media. In addition to recipes, Sarah records her experiences of living with her Korean immigrant parents. Many of Sarah’s posts have gone viral with 10+ million views. Together, they’ve taught thousands how to make everything from kimchi to comforting stews. Their platform and cookbook stand as a love letter to resilience, heritage, and the enduring power of food to connect generations.
