MEET THE CHEF & OWNER: FOROUGH VAKILI

Born and raised in Iran and trained on the coast of France, chef/founder Forough Vakili’s culinary path was inspired by the community of women who raised her and taught her how to nourish a family with the byproducts of their hands. Before pursuing her passion for cooking professionally, she earned a degree in chemical engineering at The Georgia Institute of Technology and worked in the field for two years. In 2011, she moved to France where she honed her craft while studying at Le Cordon Bleu Paris. During her time in Paris, the idea of Le Bon Nosh was created. After graduation, she worked at a two-Michelin star restaurant in Brittany, France. In 2013, she returned to the States where she took on the role as Porsche’s exclusive consultant on food operations at their North American headquarters, working with Bon Appétit Management Co. and overseeing three business units including a fine dining restaurant, a staff canteen and catering operations.

Le Bon Nosh is the culmination of Forough’s unique experiences, from her studies as a chemical engineer to her worldly travels and her lifelong appreciation for fresh, seasonal fare. She strives to make guests feel as though they are stepping into her personal dining room whenever they visit her restaurant.
