Hispanic Heritage Month

 Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15 to 10/15) celebrates and recognizes the many Hispanic Americans who live in the U.S. and around the world and the contributions they have made to society. The start date of September 15 is the anniversary of the independence of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, five Central American countries, which all declared independence in 1821. Over the course of the month, Cherry Bombe will be spotlighting chefs, bakers, makers, cookbook authors, humanitarians, and entrepreneurs from this incredible community. Links to their cookbooks and products can be found below.

Thank you to Marie Elena Martinez and New Worlder for their partnership this month. Please check out New Worlder, which covers the entirety of the Americas from a culinary travel perspective. The site emphasizes long form writing and photography and highlights chef & restaurants, sustainability & the environment, ingredients & recipes, and wine & spirits.
