The 2026 Cherry Bombe

LOREM

presented by
American Express and Resy

Meet the women making the culinary world a more interesting, inspiring, and innovative place

We're honored to celebrate the remarkable women featured on this year's Power List. They are chefs, restaurateurs, bakers, farmers, writers, founders, creators, and changemakers who are shaping the future of food and drink in ways both visible and behind the scenes.

Every year, our team is reminded that power takes many forms. It can look like building a business, mentoring the next generation, championing a community, telling important stories, or simply showing up with courage and conviction day after day. The women on the Power List are doing all of that and more. We know these incredible individuals will inspire you as much as they inspire us here at Cherry Bombe.

Connie McDonald & Pam Weekes

Co-owners of Levain Bakery

After baking bread for some of New York City’s best restaurants, the two decided to open their own bread shop on the Upper West Side in 1995, naming it Levain Bakery from the French word for “leavened bread.” The bakery prided itself on baking each loaf, baguette, and roll by hand. A few months into it, Connie and Pam developed a massive chocolate chip walnut cookie to help keep their energy levels high for triathlete training. After a sample of the cookie flew off the shelves, the cookie became an official menu item and is now one of NYC’s most iconic desserts. Thirty years later, everything is still baked by hand—in locations around the country. They are also the co-authors of the 2025 memoir-cookbook, Levain Bakery: A Story of Friendship, Community, and Cookies.

Jenny has been featured in major media outlets in the U.S. and around the world, affirming the demand for more women’s sports coverage and has inspired other operators to open women’s sports bars.
