COMMUNITY DINNER SERIES
Sweet 16!! We celebrated our 16th dinner in the Sit With Us series last week at Tamasha in Raleigh, North Carolina. Sit With Us is the series we launched with OpenTable in 2023 to celebrate chefs and restaurateurs in the Cherry Bombe & OpenTable networks and to bring folks together over beautiful food and drink.
Raleigh was the perfect city for our kickoff as the Triangle area of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill is home to some of our favorite food folks.
Tamasha owners Tina Vora & Mike Kathrani gave us a warm welcome and Chef Bhavin Chhatwani prepared a family-style feast that included such dishes as Purple Sweet Potato Chaat, Tamasha Fried Chicken, and Four Cheese Truffle Kulcha.
During dessert, Radio Cherry Bombe host Kerry Diamond moderated a panel featuring Tina, Andrea Reusing of Lantern, Cheetie Kumar of Ajja, and Adé Carrena of Dounou and Ilewa Foods. The panelists discussed the local food scene and women who have inspired their careers.
Special guests included Catarina Bill of Southern Smoke Foundation, Kathryn Shah of Spring & Mulberry, Coleen Speaks of Hummingbird, and Lauren & Keala of Pie Slayer.
Everyone received a copy of our Love Issue, Tamasha chai spice mix, and an OpenTable x Cherry Bombe tote bag. A portion of the evening’s proceeds benefited Susan G. Komen foundation, which supports breast cancer research, community health, outreach & advocacy.
