Few people have impacted the Irish food scene like Darina Allen. She’s the co-founder of the world-famous Ballymaloe Cookery School in County Cork; she’s authored 21 cookbooks, including her latest, Darina Allen: How to Cook; and she’s a tireless champion of the slow food movement, farmers’ markets, and culinary education for children. Darina joins host Kerry Diamond to talk about how she fell in love with cooking, the real reason she became a culinary instructor, and how Marcella Hazan inadvertently influenced the Irish farmers’ market scene.
