CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
Viva Las Vegas! Our Destination Cherry Bombe: Las Vegas Residency celebrating International Women's Day was a sparkling success, thanks to the incredible speakers & attendees and the support of Las Vegas.
We kicked things off with a welcome party at Velveteen Rabbit, Christina Dylag’s Arts District cocktail bar. Guests enjoyed cocktails and mocktails by Christina’s team, as well as pizza and gelato from Pizza Stone'd, tacos from Somethin' To Taco 'Bout, and tarot card readings from Venus Rose Coven.
The next morning at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, Radio Cherry Bombe host Kerry Diamond moderated a Women of Wynn panel, featuring cake artist Flora Aghababyan, Casa Playa executive chef Sarah Thompson, and mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini. Then Donna Yen, our head of community, talked to baker Kimmie Mcintosh of Milkfish Bakeshop about her surprise Beard nomination, her Vegas community, and plans for her pop-up.
Kerry returned to the stage to interview Anna Schmid, the VP of Corporate Social Responsibility at The Venetian, about sustainability efforts and the Food Rescue Alliance in partnership with The Just One Project; and then Elizabeth Blau, founder of Blau & Associates and co-founder of the Women's Hospitality Initiative, about her work making Vegas a world-class food destination and a supportive environment for women.
Then it was off to dinner at the new Gjelina at The Venetian. Every moment of our weekend was a testament to the power and passion of women in food, beverage, and hospitality.
A heartfelt thank you to all the inspiring chefs, bakers, entrepreneurs, the Vegas Bombesquad, and Las Vegas who made this celebration unforgettable.
