MENTOR/MENTEE DINNER SERIES
AT BAR XUNTOS IN LOS ANGELES

Our Mentor/Mentee dinner at Bar Xuntos in L.A.—made possible by our friends Square, Ketel One, and S.Pellegrino—reminded us why we do what we do. We asked some of the city’s best chefs to bring a mentee of theirs for an evening of stories, advice, inspiration, and delicious food.

After a round of pintxos and drinks, Radio Cherry Bombe host Kerry Diamond moderated a panel with Rashida Holmes of Bridgetown Roti, Vivian Ku of Pine and Crane, Heather Sperling of Botanica & Bar Siesta, and Bar Xuntos owner Sandra Cordero. The panelists shared insight, laughs, and plenty of wisdom for the next generation as they reflected on the mentors who shaped their paths. Their advice to their younger selves? Be decisive, don’t be afraid to experiment, and let go of perfection.

Throughout the night, guests enjoyed croquetas de jamón, herbed cheese stuffed piquillo rellenos, and Baja striped bass with tomato piquillo sauce and salsa verde. And for dessert? The dreamiest pumpkin flan and churros.

A big thank you to Sandra and the Bar Xuntos team and to our partners for helping bring this series to life. We can’t wait to do it again at our next and final stop in NYC later this month!
