MEET ELIZABETH POETT

Elizabeth Poett is a seventh-generation cattle rancher and was raised on Rancho San Julian, her family’s 14,000-acre ranch on Santa Barbara’s Central Coast of California. Elizabeth has always had a passion for growing and cooking food and she has brought that passion to her Ranch Table, where she hosts cooking classes, traditional ranch meals, and unique experiences on her family's historic ranch. The Ranch Table offers a way for guests to learn about the foods they eat, and how to cook in a seasonal, imaginative, and simple way.

Elizabeth is also the host of the cooking show Ranch To Table on Magnolia Network where viewers can see more of the day to day life and food on the ranch. In 2023, Elizabeth release her first cookbook, The Ranch Table, and was on the cover of Cherry Bombe Magazine's Food TV Today issue.

ABOUT RANCHO SAN JULIAN

Rancho San Julian was granted to Jose De la Guerra in 1837 and has remained in the same family ever since. The main house, which the family calls the Casa, was built from the early 1800s to the late 1800s. The Casa is still used today as the headquarters of the ranch, family gatherings, ranch management, and Ranch Table events. Rancho San Julian is 14,000 acres and is home to wildlife, oak forests and rolling hillsides. The land is used primarily as a working cattle ranch, but also dry farmed crops, kitchen gardens, honey bees, lavender fields, and orchards.
